Surrey Council structural planting palette
First lot of structural planting for AD6604. Each section has its own theme and meaning, such as the embankment gardens which overlook the north of the office buildings. These plants are meant to give visitors a sense of organisation and modernity, which I think is a message which a council would want to convey. The plants in the hidden garden are meant to give the workers a refreshing sense of the outside before they head to work, as well as giving visitors a strong first impression. These plants are heavily scented for the sensory benefits, as well as screening potential bin smells from the service yard.
