Quick Pittville Sketch
We challenged ourselves to setting a 5 minute timer and drawing the scenery around us in the park. I am quite pleased with how the shadows from the nearby houses turned out on the right-hand-side of the field, as this is not a level of detail I normally think to include in my sketches. I also feel that I kept the scale of the space relatively true to life.
I feel that I could've been more successful in differentiating between types of tree in the background, to make the treeline more dynamic and interesting. I also added the distant mountain as an afterthought, which doesn't give it the impression of being particularly far away.
