Park Campus Tree and Habitat First Survey
Went back to Park campus today to start on our tree survey and habitat identification, exactly 5 hours (!) it took us. I haven't had a chance to do a lot of reading around habitats yet, so I'm interested to find out if certain things contribute to making one if not.
It got very hard to survey once it was too dark to even make out what were trees, cool leaf picture though!
Saw a few types of mushroom - haven't seen them listed in the habitat document but it'd be pretty interesting if they did count.
Something has made a tunnel network in a composting pile of leaves, could be a badger/fox/rabbit? Looking forward to finding out.
