I think the sleek and modern design of this plaza is a really efficient use of the space. The different pathways clearly allow for a range of access routes as to prevent desire lines, whilst the lighting sculptures invite the public in and symbolise the learning purpose of the building. I think the use of vegetation cleverly shields the view yet makes it enticing, and the leftover lawn space is an opportunity for people to sit and enjoy.

The zig-zag layout of this plaza definitely makes a sombre space more enjoyable, however given it is between bank buildings I feel it might be a nuisance to people trying to just get from one end to the other. If the aim was to slow the pace of the area and encourage users to enjoy their surroundings, this would be a great thing. The view of the trees from within the site would make a relaxing break from a boring office day though, so that's a bonus.

I really like the approach of combining the wetland look with a modern aesthetic here, as it could be a really useful educational opportunity. I definitely wouldn't take my chances there drunk though. The rest of the design flows nicely from a park vibe into the wetland area, but has a constant theme of moving water throughout. It seems like a nice natural break from the tall, overpowering buildings around it.
